Data We Collect

We collect the following information to provide and maintain the service:

• Email address — provided through Apple Sign-In during account creation.
• Apple ID identifier — a unique identifier from Apple used to authenticate your account.
• Device tokens — tokens registered by your device for push notification delivery.
• Notification content — titles, bodies, subtitles, metadata, and any other content you send through the API.
• API keys — generated for your account to authenticate API requests.
• Usage data — notification counts, API request timestamps, and subscription status used to enforce limits and improve the service.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

• Deliver push notifications — to route notifications from your API calls to your registered devices.
• Maintain your account — to authenticate you and manage your settings, API keys, and devices.
• Enforce usage limits — to track notification counts for free and Pro tier limits.
• Improve the service — to diagnose issues, monitor performance, and develop new features.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers. Notification content is stored so that it can be displayed in your inbox within the app. You can delete individual notifications at any time, and all notifications are permanently deleted when you delete your account.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Third-Party Services

Nodkit uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — used to deliver push notifications to your devices.
• Apple Sign-In (Apple) — used for authentication. We receive your email address and a unique identifier from Apple.
• RevenueCat — used to manage Pro subscriptions and verify purchase status.
• Sentry — used for error tracking and performance monitoring to improve service reliability.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review their policies.

Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

• Account data (email, Apple ID, API keys) is kept for the lifetime of your account, until you request deletion.
• Notifications are kept until you delete them individually or until your account is deleted.
• Device tokens are kept while your account is active and are removed upon account deletion.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the Nodkit app. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. It removes all of your data, including:

• Your account profile and email address
• All stored notifications
• All API keys
• All registered device tokens

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data.
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
• Request a portable copy of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.

Children's Privacy

Nodkit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Nodkit after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
